So… there I was, inside a Toyota dealer, on a Monday morning, thinking about buying a Tacoma Off Road. Suddenly, two TRD PROs get delivered to the dealership. At the point I completely forgot about the off road and wanted to get a TRD PRO. I could not buy the truck for 24 hours since I was not in the waiting list. 24 hours later, one truck remained and I bought it on the spot. 7 days later, here is my initial review. The bad: 1. 15.4 MPG, i am currently driving it in the city and have not hit highways just yet. 2. Back seat space is an issue, I am 6 feet tall and my 10 year old barely fits behind me. 3. sensors can be very touchy when reversing. 4. No memory seat (can get frustrating when wife tries to drive) 5. Front scoop, don’t like it and can sometimes block the view. The good 1. Sport mode can be a lot of fun. You can feel the power and shift to Eco mode when cruising. 2. 360 camera is awesome, helps when parking and reversing. Also love the second camera that can be seen in the rear view mirror 3. Off roading is a thrill, the truck loves bad terrain. 4. The dashboard is well designed and easy to learn. 5. Vehicle looks amazing.

I bought a 2024 Tacoma (SR5) to replace my 2018 Tacoma. The 2024 model far exceeded expectations. Well built, and it handles extremely well. It is a fun vehicle to drive with a lot of safety and useful features. In particular, Apple Car Play is a winner!
